Caring for our Environment

Only through an in-depth knowledge of our destinations, their cultures and bio diversity can we begin to ensure that our impact on these wonders of nature is kept to a minimum. By working in close relationship with local communities and guides, we are able to follow local guidelines and advice on their environment to ensure that what we see and do remain unspoilt for future generations to enjoy and appreciate.

We at Beyond the Blue Horizon take a great pride in ensuring we leave no trace of our adventures on land or on the ocean and that all our guest's follow our simple guidelines to preserve the environment they are witnessing. By being responsible we believe that our experiences are more rewarding for our guests and for the wildlife and nature that we are encountering.

As a further demonstration of our commitment to our planet and the natural world, we have fitted a wind mill to Elinca for battery charging this reduces our fuel consumption by about 25% THUS LOWERING OUR CARBON FOOTPRINT. we are also involved in projects that encourage green tourism, sustainable tourism and eco tourism in remote and isolated communities and island destinations. Through this hands on approach we are able to ensure we are aware of changes and pressures placed by tourism in these remote archipelagos and their fragile nature.

We keep our voyages and adventures simple, for we have found that the most beautiful moments and encounters with nature occur while making passage or when least expected and by behaving in an accountable and caring manner, some of the most elusive and spectacular wildlife comes close to wow our guests with their presence.
